The staff were very friendly and accommodating. After a long bus ride from Palm Springs to Vegas, all I wanted was to sleep. Unfortunately, a blaring fire alarm from an abandoned building across from my room went off for hours. The staff immediately offered to move me, and I gladly accepted. While I could still hear the alarm faintly, I was able to rest before heading back out. The new room I moved into had a slightly stale, musty smell, and the paint on the walls was chipped, making it look a bit worn. I was a little disappointed because my previous room was on the main floor, much newer, and slightly larger than the one I was relocated to. It also didn’t have the musty, run-down scent of the new room. After my nap, I just wanted to watch a little TV to catch up on the news, as I had been traveling in the U.S. from Canada for a few weeks. Unfortunately, the TV didn’t work. I reported this to the front desk right away, but they informed me that maintenance wouldn’t be available until the morning. Upon checkout, I explained the situation to the front desk staff, and they kindly removed the “amenities fee” charged for hotel rooms. This was a generous gesture that made me feel welcome and appreciated. I wasn’t overly concerned—just a bit frustrated—but the front desk staff were kind and quick to make things right. Because of their excellent customer service, I would definitely return. The staff there are true gems who should be cherished.

Convenient location. Located within a few minute walk to Fremont street. Hotel was pleasant, but the neighborhood was very rough. Lots of homeless people and an unsecured parking lot. Didn't have any problems, but a lot of people trippin on drugs and walking around like zombies.

Horrible customer service. Dirty and disgusting room. The sheets still had a brown stain from whoever crapped the bed the night before. And, Paul, the day shift manager refused to have the hotel maids clean my room. But still charged me the full price for the room, without any discounts, for less than full service. Try Gold Spike, The D, or any other DTLA motel if you're traveling on a tight budget.

Not overwhelming like the Strip casino hotels

Like the rest of downtown Vegas, this hotel is not overwhelming like the casino hotels on the Strip or the Strip itself. Professional staff; facility is in good shape considering its age. Short walk to all of the downtown entertainment and dining. I have to recommend staying here if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

Its right down from freemont street downtown you walk 3 blocks to get to main downtown strip. I did and kareoked at the cats meow! Many places to eat downtown. You pass the cortez hotel walking.

Friendly staffs. Close to downtown. Inside is simple, no full length mirror or kettle. Parking is a bit packed if come back late, but can park on the street. Wifi signals are strong. Kind safe? Always see police cars around the area. Overall it was a good experience.
