The room was a partial ocean view, which should have bave been a sliver of ocean view. The bed was rock hard, and they charged for everything, which was not clear before checking in. When you ask about what transportation they normally recommend, they list all the normals. I ask for which was more reliable or cost efficient, they had no clue. You ask about restaurant recommendations, and two concierge refer you to an offsite restaurant, where none of them have eaten,and steaks are very expensive. Then you ask them about things to see, and they try to get you to join a very expensive per person luau that coincidentally is free if you sit through their timeshare seminar. No other recommendations. We ended up leaving for home early due to my husband's health issues, and they refused to refund our money or even give us a credit stating that it would have to come from Expedia. Its not like we planned for his issues. I guess Hilton must be struggling. The parking garage was creepy, and there were vagrants and obvious druggies everywhere. The hotel is clean, but very dated. Not sure how it's modern, and the balcony furniture was rusty. I will never stay at another Hilton.

We had a very nice stay at the modern! We stayed for 7 days, we loved the location especially. It’s pretty centred but not right in the middle of the busy areas. There’s a beach that’s a walking distance, a couple ABC stores close by and Ala Moana mall that’s all just under 10 minutes walk! The staff were all so nice and welcoming. Housekeeping team were so lovely and respectful! Just a really great place to stay in! Would 100% recommend!

Overall the place is pretty nice. The shower floor of our bathroom is a bit dirty but has a modern look. One interesting thing about the bathroom is it has 2 louver windows, privacy could be an issue. This place is in a good location. 2 mins walk from McDonald's and ABC store. 5 mins walk from Hilton Lagoon and fireworks. The staffs were nice and helpful. There is a self parking lot with in and out privileges. They offered 2 boxed water daily but it tasted different. There are also water refill stations within the property. There is a safe, mini fridge in the room as well. Coffee machine and free coffee daily.

There were extra fees that apparently I didn't notice. The way the information was written, I thought there was complimentary breakfast and parking, but that wasn't the case. The staff isn't knowledgeable about places to eat or places to visit other than the luau that's free if you sit through their sales meeting and to steer you to a restaurant with $100 steaks where none of them have ever eaten at. The room was clean although the mattress was too firm. I'm sure others love it. The balcony furniture was rusty and the partial ocean view was a sliver with the vast majority being the roof of the adjoining building. Overall it met our needs, but for the money, i was disappointed.
