We arrived at 2:30pm to check, in, was told our room would be ready at 4pm. So we waited in the lobby until 4:15. Finally I went back to ask why it was taking so long. Apparently they lost my number and had no way of contacting me (which felt not right). A half-baked apology was all I got. I was with my 3 kids and a pregnant wife, sitting in a lobby for more than a hour (almost 2) was a bit more than a mild inconvenience.

GWL is a super fun place for the kids. However, the hotel does need updates. It’s worn and it’s noticeable. We checked in at night due to our flight being delayed, and it was very quiet. We were not informed of simple information such as wear to pick up the wolf ears, how to enter the water park, where anything was in the hotel. More importantly, house cleaning is not done unless you ask for it. We stayed 4 nights and our room was cleaned on night 4? Doesn’t make sense, considering it was our last night. Nevertheless, the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves and don’t notice the wear and tear on the hotel. Staff were overall very pleasant and friendly.
