The building is not well maintained. The elevators are very old and slow. The hotel does not give me the kind of comfortable feeling and clean feeling from a standard 4 star hotels. Location is the only reason i chose this hotel and it did not disappoint. The river view of our room was amazing. We definitely enjoyed looking out at the bridges and the river from our window and all the surrounding amazing sky and architecture of the Chicago downtown. The location is also close to magnificent mile and the grand park, and we are literally on the side of the riverwalk. It was a great location.

The Hotel is iconic and in a great location and view. On the river and close to the park. The issue is that the roof top view is very popular and leads to various issues. The elevators are fully occupied from noon to midnight and can cause 15min wait. They are full of guests trying to go down from the roof top. As a hotel guest you get no priority to even get a table at the roof top and the hotel even doesn't help with getting a reservation. Booking through Expedia ( 3rd parties ) means at check-in you need to pay 100 plus plus USD per day to get the view. Overall for 650 USD per night ( with view charges ) the hotel does not stand up to its piers. For the same dates the Peninsula / Four seasons were available.

Room was on the small side but it was clean and well kept with a wonderful view of the Riverwalk. Ocean Prime restaurant is an excellent on premises choice for fine dining.

Wonderful short stay!

Anyone we encountered on site was very friendly and kind. We loved our view of the river, the ability to crack the window for fresh air, the bed was super comfortable. Sad we only stayed one night! Would have loved to visit some of the great amenities and locations at the hotel. If we return to Chicago, we will definitely choose LondonHouse again!
