The bellman, Showtime, and front desk, Alex were fantastic. Showtime gave full explanation of room and layout, responded with many option to my query about restaurants. During the efficient and smooth checkin, Alex said he would follow up by text so I would have 24/7 ability to contact front desk with questions and concerns. He did exactly as promised. He was good as his word, answering questions promptly no matter what time. As did others at the front desk if Alex was off duty. It was my first time in Chicago and these two made my solo travel welcoming and safe. No to mention, Meli’s Cafe next door and Gino’s East Pizza across the street.

Our room had a smell..don’t know what it was, they tried to fix it promptly. It was in a safe area, it’s very very clean. Walkable to lots of places. Showtime, the doorman told us directions to all of the places to see. We had a good time. Everyone was extremely nice! I would stay here again! And it was safe!

This was our 2nd stay here. Nice size rooms. Staff is friendly. Don’t like the shower head. Can be noisy if you’re on the street side.

Overall, I really enjoyed the stay - it was close to the marathon, which is why I came to Chicago. The beds were very comfortable. It was kind of hard to find the entrance upon arrival due to the scaffolding near the doors (construction). The front desk staff was extremely friendly.

It’s important for people who are planning on staying there that there is no bar and no restaurant inside the property. There was a restaurant attached to the hotel that served only breakfast and lunch. No dinner. This was somewhat disappointing.

Blake Hotel was excellent for us because it was central to tourist attractions (Millennium Park, River Walk) but also walkable to restaurants and breweries further to the south. Customer service was fantastic, hotel was clean, quiet and we would definitely stay again

Our stay at Hotel Blake was very nice! The staff were very accommodating and kind. This was our first trip to Chicago and it was a great time. We arrived early to the hotel due to an early flight and we were lucky enough to have a room ready instead of waiting until check in time. The room was nice and big which my partner and I enjoyed. Our room did face the street so there were moments where sirens were loud but nothing more than we expected staying in the city. The room was mostly clean but there were parts of the room that had dust (mainly in the bathroom) when we arrived but the housekeeper kept us stocked with towels and was very attentive during our stay. The outside was under construction but the inside was still very beautiful. Very walkable location (subway lines very close to the hotel as well!) kind staff, and nice to look at! We would definitely come again. :)
