Our stay at Sunscape was great! I love that they partake in environmental sustainability and offer guests reusable items/options while maintaining a high level of cleanliness. Dining options were of a good and broad variety. I really appreciated how attentive the staff was with food allergies and how they had vegan options available at every restaurant.

Disappointing Stay – Not a 4-Star Resort We stayed at Sunscape Cancun by Hyatt from Oct 4–9 and were very disappointed. Security was lacking — anyone could walk in and out freely. Staff were unfriendly and constantly pushed timeshare sales (“The Playa Collection”) and extras, even during meals. Restaurants had no A/C, making dining uncomfortable, and we were encouraged to buy food instead of sticking to the all-inclusive menu. The resort is in poor condition and needs serious maintenance. Our balcony was unusable due to pigeon droppings — the property is infested. The adult pool was tiny and overcrowded. This resort does not live up to its 4-star rating and I would not recommend it.

My family and I loved our all inclusive vacation to Sunscape. Staff was wonderful, The property was beautiful. The activities were a lot of fun as well. The food was one of best we’ve had at an all inclusive resort. We are giving the food 9/10 and everything else 10/10.

The hotel presented well but it had mechanical issues. The sliding door was so thin and cheap that it detached and banged all night in the wind. Maintenance “fixed” it the next day, but I could tell the bite left on the screw was so small that I expect it to detach again within a week. The outlets did not hold a US charging base securely in without propping. On the sixth floor, no matter what time of day it was and how long you ran the hot water: it never got hot. It was almost tepid but not quite. Other than than that it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and looked more upscale than I expected. The fact that there is only one small pool hurts because at a family resort there is no where to hide from the kids. The beach did not have anywhere near the number of umbrellas pictured on the web. Finally, while other hotels at least tried to clear the Sargassum mats of the sand, there was no effort made so, of course, there is a sulfur smell. The food was typical of an all inclusive resort: no better no worse. The staff was very helpful and polite.

The staff at this Resort are fantastic! There is always someone to ask you if you need anything else, checking on you, always on top. Very attentive. The room was incredible. The food choices are fantastic on-site with 5 restaurants to choose from within the resort. The beach is a 10 out o10, clear water, glass smooth and white sand. I would not hesitate recommending this place to anyone looking for an all-inclusive resort in Cancun! Not a single complaint and exceeded my expectations!
