I loved the location! It’s on the Freedom trail and across from Quincy Market so food and music was easy to find in the evening!! The staff was friendly and helpful including the valet. He gave me tips on where not to go after a certain time!

Excellent location to Faneuil Hall! The Hotel needs work. We ended up switching rooms because the AC didn't work and the water faucet didn't work. The second room had holes in the curtain, and was missing artwork over the desk. The room desperately needs renovation and updated. The white sheet had a stain, and the glass bathroom pocket door was filthy. The front desk never answers the phone so you have to go down to speak with them directly. The area is heavily trafficked with tourists, but the area is GREAT! So, thats expected. This was my second stay at this hotel and there have been no updates to the property that I could tell. Aging and buckled wallpaper and overall needs some updating and maintenance. With the location of the hotel, they can get away with these needs. Will I stay there again? Yes, the location is the reason. I would like to compliment the restaurant there, and the bellman. Both were top notch!

Perfect location for seeing historic Boston

The location of the Bostonian Hotel was perfect for seeing the historic sites, restaurants, and iconic neighborhoods. Everything is within walking distance and the hotel in in the center of everything. The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

The Bostonian is a nice property set in an ideal location for any North End activity. Across the street from Fanuiel Hall and its shops as well as a short walk to Little Italy. We found the bar too expensive but the Hotel is surrounded by historic tavern’s so I would recommend exploring the area anyway.

Managed like a typical 3 star hotel off the highway somewhere. Litter on the ground in the valet area, filthy hard to see through windows in the rooms, old and dingy looking carpet in hallways and rooms. Dark and dingy decore. They initially put us in a basement room (do Not accept a room on Floor 2) which was dark and depressing with tiny windows looking up into the alley. We asked to be moved and they gave us a better room on the fourth floor, but the very small windows were so dirty you could not enjoy the view. Some genius decided the room needed a skylight, but at night you can't see anything and as soon as the sun comes up they entire room is blasted by sunlight, so forget about sleeping late. The air conditoner froze and stopped functioning so I woke up in a pool of sweat. Didn't help that the mattress pad was a plastic sheet that made it extra hot. The mini fridge was broken and the room phone was broken (probably to make complaining harder). The entire staff was foreign. Pleasant enough that's for sure, but it definitely felt like staying at a semi-third world hotel- kinda like an old resort in the Carribean and definitely not like in one of America's great cities. But I guess they have to save money somehow, so why not hire cheap foreign labor- because I can't imagine they can count on repeat business.

The lobby was very nice but our room was very dated and evident of wear and tear. The furniture and rugs were stained and the shower needed grout work. I would rate the hotel 3 star. The hotel dining restaurant food was fair, the calamari was overbreaded and hard. I would advise NOT to pre check in , my credit card was charged twice, once precheck in and then at the desk because they had not record of the first transaction. You could tell this was once a grand hotel and the Millenium hotels are usually very nice but this one needs an upgrade.

The Bostonian is the perfect hotel in the perfect location. Right next to the North End, the Ferry, the Aquarium, and Quincy Market. Historic Boston at it's best, the Freedom Trail, bike rentals, it's all right there at the Bostonian.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful with any question I had. It is close to many tourist spots. The room that I stayed in seemed older, the tv didn't work, some of the lights didn't work as well but the bed was semi comfortable and I would stay there again but would maybe pay more for a bigger room to see if it's nicer.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming but the hotel overall is not good. Very run down and in need of not just a deep cleaning but a complete renewal. It is very dark in the hallways and kind of spooky feeling. The room was filthy and worn out. There was no fridge, all the lights are difficult to operate and the heating was turned off with only AC on but it was cold at night. The location is good but as Boston is a very busy city the noise in the room from the street was unbelievable.
