The hotel was spotlessly clean and provided the harbor view I requested, though the window turned out smaller than anticipated, limiting the scenic impact a bit. I overlooked checking for a pool, assuming it would be there, which left few on-site activities for the kids. On the bright side, the complimentary clam chowder was flavorful without being overly salty, and the restaurant’s lobster rolls were such a hit with the children that they became instant fans—we’ll definitely return there next time.

The lobby and adjacent restaurant were a mess. We got there for our 4:00 checking and there were still breakfast trays on the tables. The restaurant didn’t open until 5:00. They sold limited beer and soda at the front desk. A small “store” with sandwiches (2) and salads (1). 2 types of candy bars… hardly any crunchy savory snacks.
