We have eaten at the Oak Room many times - it’s our restaurant of choice when we head to Boston (Anthony & Omar top notch bartenders) We have never stayed in the beautiful hotel- we are usually going for a more modern feel- however …. The hotel was amazing and made us feel so special. Our room was gigantic and the bed Devine. The linens and towels luxurious. It’s our new favorite 💕 and we didn’t have to leave to have an amazing dinner & drinks!

For a hotel of this status, I was expecting more. Although it has its charm, an update is necessary to the decor. The gym is extremely limited.

Beautiful hotel!!! Housekeeping staff was exceptional!!! Whenever we walked pass anyone in Housekeeping they actually acknowledged us with a smile and warm greetings. The youngman that checked us in upon our arrival was superb, sorry dont remember his name, he is originally from Haiti.

Despite its historic charm and central location, the hotel is in a state of serious disrepair. The carpet is stained and worn, the room smells damp and unclean, and many features—such as peeling doors and broken fixtures—suggest long-term neglect. What could be a standout property feels poorly maintained and outdated. I had planned to stay a full week in Boston, but after one night, I relocated to The Newbury Boston, which provided the level of comfort and quality that this hotel failed to deliver.

We had a good stay overall. However, the room next to us was extremely noisy both nights, with guests partying until around 1:30 AM. We had to complain, but the hotel didn’t seem to take it to seriously, which was disappointing

Valet parking rate of $72/night was excessive. Other than that, the room was lovely and comfortable for our family of 5, staff was responsive and friendly. Gym is well equipped with nice views. Very convenient to get to Logan airport from this hotel.
