Excellent hotel for Red Sox fans and others

The Hotel Commonwealth is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Boston to see the Red Sox (and is a lovely hotel even if you are there for other reasons). We’ve stayed there many times. The location is just a few minutes from Fenway Park and the hotel has lots of Red Sox memorabilia and even a special baseball themed elevator. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the service is excellent. Valet parking is expensive but convenient. We did find the beds a bit uncomfortable on this visit and perhaps they could use an update, but beds are always a very personal preference. There is a T station right under the hotel, which is super convenient for getting around Boston but many areas are walkable and cabs/Ubers are plentiful.

All staff members were great! The property was beautiful and located in an easily walkable location. My only critique would be the coffee bar was only open until 10 am. It would’ve been nice for it to be open longer.

For the price, nearly $1000 per night with parking, the room was very disappointing. It was really small and completely nondescript. There is nothing special about it. It was clean, but otherwise very bare bones with a view directly into the apartment building next door. The bed was so uncomfortable both my husband and I woke up with terrible back pain. There are so many better options in this area for the money. It’s a shame because we have stayed here many times before, but the prices

The view was not the hotel provided pictures on site.And price was way too expensive according to the view. Very disappointed. I found one of the review mentioned a weird smell that I didn't like as well. They should stop using that product. Smells like a aged resort. Staff were very professional and kind.
