Great hotel but small rooms.

The hotel staff was great, helpful and friendly. Hotel itself is very cool, modern and fun vibe. The rooms itself are nice but very small. Worked well for the the trip but could have been more comfortable with larger room and more storage or counter space. The rooms are designed really well though considering the size. The location is great! Walking distance to plenty of restaurants mc entertainment and shopping.

Clean hotel in good location, but the noise from the street below was immense. We were on the 10th floor, despite requesting a quiet room, and could hear vehicles honking all night. I missed this when reading reviews before booking. We used the provided ear plugs so did get some disturbed sleep. Also the amount we paid at hotel for the local fees is more than quoted when booking via Expedia.

The room was SO noisy. There was loud music playing until after 2am. I was running a race early the next morning and it was miserable. People the next morning said there was apparently a rooftop party happening. I also did not appreciate the "surprise" Destination Fee of $35 automatically added to my bill. They try to make up for it by giving you a $35 food voucher for their bar. But, when I checked out at 11, the bar was between breakfast and lunch so nothing was available besides snacks. Very deceptive to be forced into eating at the bar. I asked for a refund because I wasn't able to use the voucher and the staff refused. Saying I'd be charged the "destination fee" regardless. The hallways where rooms are located are really dark and creepy. Nothing happened, but I felt unsafe walking to my room.

Loved our stay at Moxy Downtown Boston. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always patient and helpful even when we were exhausted upon our late arrival. The Boho Chic decor was fun and interesting. We were walking distance to the commons with multiple dining locations in the area including no less than 4 Starbucks. The room wasa very small but, the view and the shower were both incredible. The staff was very accomodating and gave us a room on a higher floor to mitigate outside noise as this is in the middle of the theater district. They provide earplugs in the room but, we didn't use them. There was also a white noise machine in the room. There are no amenities in the room such as coffee or a mini-fridge but there is free coffee available on the main floor. The incidentals costs are offset by food and drink coupons that have to be used in house but, at least that's something. The food was good and the service was great. There is a decent exercise room although I didn't get an opportunity to use it. We got plenty of exercise walking around and I did some running while there as well. The "Freedom Trail" begins in the commons so you are at the beginning in less than 5 minutes. It's also only a few blocks to the finish line for the Marathon. Overall, the Mocxy made our four days in Boston fantastic. I would definitely recommend highly.

Convenient clean hotel for Boston Marathon! Close to getting the bus to Hopkinton and the finish line! Pleasant staff! Would definitely stay here again!

The Moxy was a fine hotel and good experience. The issue was that Expedia did not live up to its price match guarantee during the marathon weekend when participants pulled out and prices dropped the week of. They are hiding behind the premise the rooms aren't identical but they were and then they pull out other excuses like we cant verify that from our site even though i was discussing with a live agent. Ruined a good weekend Expedia.

Amazing hotel with great service. Super functional and friendly. Pristine rooms with gorgeous views of the city. I had a great time with my girlfriend at the moxy hotel!
