This very old hotel has character and convenience. The staff was very helpful. Only one issue, we stayed on the top floor (seventh) and the heat had been turned off for the season, so the room was not warm enough for us senior citizens. The staff was very responsive and brought a portable heater right away

Enjoyed our stay. Convenient area of town and the staff was lovely. We arrived several hours before checkin time but they were able to get us into our room. The room is quite small, but was clean and well appointed. The bathroom is also very small, but the toiletries were nice quality and everything was clean and well taken care of.

I would make sure NOT to overpay for this hotel. I had a mediocre experience. The location is great, super walkable. However, if your room is facing Exeter street, there will be noise from a nearby bar / club on the weekends, at least until 1-2am. I also noticed security was limited when accessing the hotel; it would be very easy to enter the hotel, take an elevator / stairs up to a room. Rooms have key card security though, so not a huge concern. My room itself was quite dark, with limited lighting fixtures. The cleaning team had done a good job, but the facilities themselves are a bit worn. Bathroom had no fan, so there was some rust on the vanity. Wallpaper was peeled, and the shower floor was cracked near the drain. Beds were nice. The AC / heating unit is quite loud. Again, the room itself was very clean. The condition of the room and bathroom just wasn’t fabulous. Just keep that in mind when you select a rate

Great price and location in Boston!

It was an excellent location to walk or take subway around Boston. It was quiet and comfortable. It is in an older building and has a lot of old Boston charm. The valet service was super as well. We were only there for one night as we were going to Northeastern’s graduation. Would definitely stay there again.

Choose your room carefully!

We traveled with friends - we had a gorgeous, spacious, light filled corner room with city views although they had a very small queen overlooking a brick wall. We had several small concerns but for the cost of a hotel room these days, things should be absolutely perfect. It wouldn’t take much effort to re-glue peeling wallpaper or add a piece of trim over the gap between the heater+wall. Our friends in the micro queen had a shower head that kept sliding down the pole and “repaired” it themselves with a wine cork and hair bungee. The front desk was notified but must have decided the “fix” was sufficient because nothing was done Oy! The Copley is in a great location and is a wonderful vintage hotel. Much of the historic character, which we love, has been retained throughout renovations. The elevator is slow but we didn’t mind taking the stairs to our 4th floor room. The restaurant/bar was closed for renovation. A common complaint - there are NEVER two suitcases holders in rooms that are booked for two people!

This is a nice hotel in a good location, right next to a Star Market, the Prudential Centre and Library. It’s also located near the Copley and Prudential T stop. The only issues we had were: the elevator that was very, very slow; and that they lock the door to the hotel about 1am each night, so a staff member has to be available to let you in. One night we were waiting about 15min to be let in to the hotel.
