The only thing I did not like was house keeping knocking on my door at 8am to ask what time we were checking out. Check out is at noon. I work in a hotel and we have never asked that question to a guest. Very unprofessional.

Interior and immediate area outside was fine...lots of construction across Blossom Street nd other parts of the Mass. General complex, but overall it was generally fine and relatively quiet much of the time. Very convenient access to the various Mass. General offices/buildings.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is old, dirty and not updated. The windows are so dirty you can barely see out of them. The lobby and room furniture are old and in bad shape. The rooms smell like old cigarettes. The phone hasn't been cleaned and is stained brown. The beds have springs that poke and make noises. The bathroom fixtures are falling off the walls. The tub is made of soft plastic and the drain does not work. The exhaust in the bathroom doesn't work. The glass bathroom door does not lock and offers little privacy. Parking costs $69/day. There are no luggage carts. The location is within walking distance to downtown Boston, but is surrounded by noisy hospital buildings and construction.

The property is in a great location and clean. There were definitely things that needed some repair such as ice machines and sinage. The staff was super friendly and did their best to accommodate our needs. We ate at the Dean's List twice and while the food was edible we definitely don't recommend it. Much much better food nearby.

I chose this area because I knew Beacon Hill was nice. The hotel was not representative of the area. It was ok. It could’ve been much more clean, and have more amenities. Our bath tub didn’t drain so we took showers in knee deep water, and the door to our room looked like it was kicked in and didn’t close properly. The pool was awful, to my daughter’s dismay, and she didn’t even want to spend any time there. We were also charged $69/ night if we wanted unlimited access to our car. Or, we had the $60 option but had to pay $60 each time we wanted to take our car out! It was very basic hotel but not priced that way. It would’ve been ok for about $200-300 less than what we were charged.
