We had a room booked and they double booked. Arrived to check in and were told that we didn’t have a room at 8:00 pm. All the hotels in Victoria were booked. No one bothered to phone us. It was an absolute disaster. The Waddling Dog was not helpful at all!

Great staff and property, everyone was so friendly to us and our dog. They gave us a nice recommendation for an off leash dog park near by (not fully fenced). The room was starting to show its age a bit but was clean. Dog friendly patio at the pub downstairs was a plus. The location was fine, close to the highway and gas station. We found multiple hikes nearby, the walk around Elk and Beaver lakes was great with the dog. Would definitely recommend this as a convenient stay just outside of Victoria.
