"Nice hotel with a great view up the channel."
View up the channel from our room on the 6th floor was great. Noise from road works and rubbish collection at 6am was a little annoying.

"Repeat customer"
I stay often at the Calypso, and have tried a few other, more expensive or higher rated hotels along the beach in Coolangatta, but will now always choose Calypso. The staff are helpful and unassuming, the rooms are clean, with some in varying condition, but all incredibly comfortable. I always feel like I have had a week away, even if I just stay overnight.

"Lovely and Quiet!"
Escaped from the rat race for 3 nights, had a wonderful relaxing time away from the world. Would definitely recommend it as an off season retreat. Beautiful beach a minute away, Kingscliff township walkable and only a few minutes drive away. Only criticism is no free wifi but the pub has it as does Saltbean Cafe. Rooms overlooking the carpark and above the shops are noisy early in the morning so ask for one overlooking the gardens. No restaurant to speak of but again doesn't matter as there are plenty at the adjacent Salt Village. The heated small tropical pool is lovely and I could swim at the end of May!

"Clean and tidy hotel, great facilities on hand"
We really enjoyed our stay at Peppers. The variety of top restaurants within waking distance were so convenient, and you really didn't need to leave the resort if you didn't want to. Unfortunately there was a large conference on for 3 days of our stay, which limited our access to certain areas. This would have been nice to know at the time of booking, or at least prior to our stay - instead of being informed by a sign saying "stay out of this area, reserved for conference". Staff weren't informed of which areas would be out of bounds at various times over the 3 days, which made planning our time a little difficult. We ended up going elsewhere for the bulk of that time.
