I booked and paid for 2 rooms. I had to put in names so I put my friends name for the other room. When I went to check in, they wouldn’t let me have the keys to the other room because it was under my friends name even though they can see I paid for both rooms. When my friend finally arrived, they said the room wasn’t ready yet even though it was 4 hours after the check-in time. They made them wait an hour to check into their room that was right next door to mine. There also isn’t very good lighting in the rooms, it was very dark and a pretty small room for a luxury double bed.

Old world charm is so comfortable.

This was my second stay at the Royal York in the past month. There is something to be said about fresh bedding, linens, china and old-fashioned service. The room was very comfortable and we needed a cot. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the cot and the fresh bedding… so comfy. I also appreciated the higher quality Nespresso coffee and the soaps, shampoo and conditioner. My granddaughters loved the room.
