When serving food make sure it’s not old or stale. Make sure not to turn off ac. Even though it might be cool OUTSIDE it’s not inside.

When I walked into my room, it smelled terrible. It smelled like sheets that had not been washed in forever. The actual sheets on the bed were clean. It was the pillows, not the pillowcases, but the pillows smelled terrible so used the staff went in the room, covered their nose. That’s how bad it was. I got a new room. The pillow still smelled, but not as bad But the shower didn’t work at 5:30 in the morning the blinds open and the TV came on for some unknown reason it did it two more times after that and then housekeeping was knocking on the door trying to get in physically get in at 8:30 when I hadn’t checked out but somehow on the computer system, it said I had checked out. I’ve stayed at citizens before and loved my stay not so much this time. However, the staff was very nice and professional.

Great hotel and great area! The rooms were small but very quirky and the hotel facilities were brilliant. The gym was also a welcome benefit and within walking distance of the needle and a great Whole Foods.

The room was perfect for the two of us, we loved the iPad to control the lights, TV, temperature, it was so convenient! We also absolutely loved the area - it’s 20 min walk to pike place market and it was clean, safe and quiet to walk around at night - enough people around to feel safe but not so many that it was busy!
