For some alternatives, checkout the Mantra Lake Tekapo and the Heartland Lodge. They are located 30 kilometres and 12 kilometres respectively from the center. Others are the Lakeview Tekapo, 30 kilometres away, and the Peppers Bluewater Resort, 30 kilometres.
But wait, there's more! Don't leave before taking a look at what you can discover in the rest of the area. Have a squiz at the old towns. You should also take in the region's beaches. Energetic types may also go snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.
If you'd like to explore some nearby cities, consider Twizel and Mount Cook Village. Travel 12 kilometres to the southwest from Pukaki and you'll locate Twizel. That said, Mount Cook Village is 55 kilometres to the north. Hotels in Twizel are the MacKenzie Country Inn and Mountain Chalets Motel. The Aoraki Court Motel and YHA Aoraki Mt Cook - Backpacker are some of the options in Mount Cook Village.
Before you say "see ya later" to Canterbury, ensure you catch some local sport. Find McLean Park to the east of Pukaki. Rest your head right near the action at the Pinewood Motels or the Aorangi Motel.
