The property is immaculate. The staff go above and beyond for you, and do it with a smile on their face. Honestly do not have one negative thing to say about the entire resort, other than the gym. Gym needs to be bigger and better.

First the good. Staff were generally excellent with a shout out to those in the Don Carlos bar!! Now the bad…my room didn’t have a functioning phone for three days (a safety issue) and only half the TV channels for the entire week. The main pool had a frat house vibe (loud music and partying) which was so very different from the upmarket vibe of the rest of the resort. The quiet pool was small and dirty. Everywhere, including the beach, was a “towels at dawn” situation. The beach was clean and swept regularly. Food was hit or miss. Some really good dishes (perversely often with cold sides) but the buffet was poor compared to other resorts in the area. Service in the restaurants was excellent and the staff were very helpful in providing suggestions for both dishes and drinks.

Our third time to stay at Valentin Imperial. We are Premier Expedia member and eligible for a room upgrade. But everytime, they always say, we are full, for which I don’t believe 100%. They just don’t want to give us a room upgrade, I think. Second, we finally got the chance to book the Japanese restaurant, Hibachi. We came on time and chose the front seat. Then these 4 couples who came in late and Juana, the staff, wants us move to accommodate the late comers! She just ruined my husband’s bday celebration!! So, we moved to the corner of the table. At the end of dinner, one the guest who felt bad for us, told Juana that it is my husband’s bday, Juana came back with a cheesecake and a candle and startled singing Happy Birthday to ME!!! Just a bad experience at the Japanese restaurant.

All around great resort. The food is exellent and the service is second to none. We have been there twice and have met many people who have stayed there multiple times. That is truly an indicator of how nice of a place this is.

My husband and I just returned from a week at Valentin Imperial Maya, and we honestly had the best time. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was exceptional. The staff truly make this resort stand out — always smiling, always friendly, and genuinely happy to joke and engage with guests. You feel welcomed everywhere you go. The entertainment was, without question, the best we’ve experienced at any resort: fun, high-energy, and incredibly well done. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and spotlessly clean — honestly one of the cleanest resorts we’ve stayed at. The grounds were immaculate and perfectly maintained, which added so much to the overall experience. The food was excellent with no shortage of options. We never got bored of dining and even found ourselves hopping to two or three restaurants in one night just for appetizers — because why not? There was always something new and delicious to try. The beach was absolutely stunning, and we were lucky to have no seaweed for the entire duration of our stay, which made it even more enjoyable. We truly can’t say enough good things about Valentin Imperial Maya. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and we will absolutely be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The property is maintained well, however, the rooms need remodeling I stayed in 13 106 was a little disappointing. The restaurants were just OK and the food was so so . Don’t misunderstand me the people were very hard and I tried to show my appreciation to everyone however they are understaffed in restaurants and the English was an issue. Overall, we had a nice time, but I would try other places.
