This place was amazing if you have children. They have indoor playground that fits for infants till young children. I wish they would allow both parents to be at the playground even though when we were there it was barely any other children. We love the waterpark and lazy river. We also enjoyed that there were verity of the restaurants. We enjoy cultural and shows in the center of the hotel every night.

Expedia staff at the hotel were not competent at all. Check-in took the longest, even though there were three staff members present and able to assist. When we got to the room, the key bracelet they gave us to open the door was not activated. We had to wait for someone to come and open the door for us. When we entered the room, I saw stains on the sheets. One of the chairs was broken, and the jacuzzi I paid extra for was falling apart. The liquor was extremely watered down. The pools, water park, bowling, and trampoline park were amazing and so much fun! The restaurants were great as well.

We stay with my 3 year old son and my wife. The only thing that was AMAZING was there was LOTS to do for kids and my son enjoyed it alot! However my wife and were very disappointed for few different reasons...as soon as we entered the property it smelled absolutely disgusting!!! given the fact it's a seaweed season we were prepared but the smell was way beyond seaweed!! We took a day trip out of the hotel and went to the city itself and we didn't smell anything anywhere by the beach! The other big disappointment was the ocean.. it was no turquoise like the pictures or like the hotel zone area and it was all brown and dark and not swimmable at all. Another downside was the quality of the food... it was very bad! The only ok restaurant was the Zen Teppanyaki... We've been to many all-inclusive in Cancun and never have we been disappointed like this. My wife and I both got food poison at the Italian restaurant and ended up staying in the room for a whole day to recover :( In overall the only benefit was it was very fun for my son but everything else didn't meet our expectations and will not be back at this resort.

Royalton is a Great Resort to share time with Family and Friends. The focus that they have on quality and care for their guest is one to mention. As they continue to improve there processes with checkin and reservations for their restaurants. The focus should remain on the the customer’s experience and how to not only speed up the checkin but to be more effective and efficient. As with any improvements there is always pain points; but with continued surveys and feedback they should get there. Another opportunity to review would be portion sizes in the restaurants. I believe there would be less waste if they were smaller. And or advertise those larger portions as shareable on The menus. Overall, This Resort is Nothing shy of beautiful and well played out; with continuous improvements it will be one of the Top to visit.

If you stay here you have to eat at the restaurants for dinner, the buffet was not very good the food tasted pretty bad, bland and not fresh. The lack of fresh fruit for breakfast was also surprising. But the stake house is amazing as well as the cave restaurant and the Japanese one.
