We paid extra for diamond club. The first day we got there we were offered a free activity if we attended the “morning breakfast” we were told that it was only 90 minutes long. When arriving to the we were denied entry because we had an activity planned for the same day later on in the day. They threatened us a cancellation fee for not attending 4 hrs they said the morning breakfast is long & they need ppl to stay the whole day before you can get an activity. The activity was lied to us about. They get commission to get you signed up. They were upset that we had something to do later on that day after we told them before signing we didn’t have four hours to waste with them. The diamond club food is the only decent food they offer the same buffet food is served daily, it’s cold not tasty. Zen restaurant is horrible. Our butler scheduled me a bday dinner for 9pm upon arriving we were told there was an 1 hour wait we brought our baby with us that was getting impatient they then sat us at a regular table instead of the reserved hibachi. Our butler apologized to us the next day & reserved hibachi at the same restaurant the next day the lobster was overcooked and rubbery. I refuse to eat it I was denied a refund. $86 lobster burnt. We caught a crew member in our hot tub, “fixing the Jets”. We asked him who asked him to come. He ended up being in the wrong room. The first 2 days our TV remote did not work my son couldn’t watch tv. Leak in ceiling got patched 2x moldy smell. Horrible

I had my wedding here which was absolutely incredible. The Resort was very nice. I had the diamond club which gave me a personal Butler for my entire stay. The Butler & entire staff were amazing, very accommodating. They go above and beyond! My biggest complaint is that it was extremely noisy outside of the room… You can hear EVERYTHING outside in the hallway. People late at night shouting, arguing etc, & then can hear staff/housekeeping at like 6-8am. It also doesn’t help that our room was across from the housekeeping area. Definitely did not get much of a refreshed goodnights sleep, especially for my wedding week away from long hours at work. Also, I had requested a (King Size) bed for my wife & I. We were given (2 Queen beds,) while majority of my guests who came to my wedding that brought friends got a King bed? They offered to switch us more than half way into my stay to make the switch but with a week’s worth of stuff for a family of 3 was too much to move around & did not feel like it was worth it at that point. I felt like some my family and friends who didn’t have diamond club, had a much nicer equipped room than the diamond club & my cost was so much more. When a wedding is planned & spending a TON of money. Bride & Groom need to be a priority especially booking 8 to 12 months in advance & to be told from the moment of check in, that they don’t have a King bed available.

The staff was top notch! Since we booked through Expedia, we got a special check in and assigned to a staff member to check on us daily and help us out! Ariana was amazing and so helpful anytime we needed it! The property was absolutely stunning with amazing photo opportunities, and breathtaking views. An amazing experience!

We stayed 7 nights at Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun with our 3.5-year-old and friends who also have two young daughters. We travel to Mexico every 3 months and, despite reading mixed reviews, decided to give this property a try. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in many areas. Check-in on day one took almost 2 hours at the Expedia lounge as staff kept going back and forth with their manager over text about possible upgrades. After all the delays we ended up keeping our original room. When we walked in, we noticed visible mold in the bathroom, and the building itself was surrounded by active construction. At night, even with white noise, we heard cleaning crews in the hallways, and at 6am loud banging and dragging furniture above our suite woke our daughter. After complaints and more back and forth, we were eventually moved to another room the next day. The food was another disappointment. The buffet repeated the same items daily, often ran out of food, and the poolside options were extremely limited. For a family stay, variety and convenience were lacking. The resort also felt much smaller than advertised, with limited activities, and would have been boring if not for traveling with our group of friends. On a positive note, some staff stood out for their service, especially Eduardo, our concierge, and Mardo, a buffet waiter. Still, overall this resort does not live up to Autograph Collection standards. I would recommend looking at other resorts.

Not value for money!

Hotel room was not value for money! Diamond Swim Out was a joke! silly little slip of water facing the bushes, there is nothing swim out about it. Do not pay the extra money for this as it was a waste of money! The water was dirty also! we had to remind them daily to put basics in the room like slippers and snacks for the mini bar. It's not clear what exactly you are paying for. Food at the hotel is just OK. they ran out of many things on a daily basis and didn't replenish for a couple of days. Ice cream, ham, mushrooms, basic items. Also be prepared to pay $130 return to and from the hotel in a taxi! it's a 15-minute trip so not sure why it's so expensive. why doesn't the resort have shuttles to collect and return their guests. also, the beach was gross. I saw 2 people on the beach the whole week. The ocean was brown and loaded with awful seaweed. no mention of this from the hotel.

I went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. since my reservation was thru Expedia my check in process was easy however, the rest of the group were inline for almost two hours. the food was not great you better off making reservations for the restaurants and it has to be done a day in advance.

All of the bartenders discriminated against us and did not pay attention to us. The drinks were not great. The staff, moreover bartenders, will insist on tips or they will not even look at you when speaking.
