This is a very nice and cozy hotel. Staff were wonderful and always helpful; room and bathroom very clean. We had a very restful vacation.

The property was very clean, although getting refills of our in room bar and new water bottles was spotty. The staff was very friendly, shout out to Mayra at the snack bar who usually worked mornings, She was always so friendly and worked her butt off all by herself a lot of the time. Location is great. Not particularly lively, more geared toward family entertainment... or seniors... but you can walk to the Riu Tequila accross the street and they have a good sports bar and Playa del Carmen is really close. One thing I didn't like was the lighting in the room. Every light is like a flourescent white light, I felt like I was in a hospital or something. If you want to read or relax while your partner is sleeping, bring a little light, cause your bedside one will light up the whole darn room. Some ambient lighting would be nice. And the food. So, I'm a vegan, with some allergies. They have made a nice effort to put little signs on maybe 60% of the food... but they are so wrong hahha. Apparently Shrimp crackers are vegan, pasta with a dairy lable is vegan, chicken salad is vegetarian etc. Luckily I think they have the little icons mostly right, so I ignore the vegan and vegetarian signs and look at the icons. Oh, this vegan item as pork in it. Duly noted lol. I also wish they enforced the "where kids can go" rule better, kind of annyoing to not get a seat at the swim up bar cause a bunch of kids are sitting in front of the "Adults only" sign.

The hotel was really nice. Didn't care for the queen beds put together for a king so it's hard to sleep and no elevator had to climb a lot of stairs every day.
