There was NO Hot water on my floor (11th). I could not take a shower during my 2 night stay. I paid for an ex large double bed room which looked impressive on your website. However, in person it was a regular size room. False advertisement. The Rittenhouse Grille food was disgusting. It looked pretty, but was tasteless. There is no way any of the food is prepared on site. More likely, it was frozen, defrosted and reheated. Shrimp was rubbery, Clams Casino was beyond awful and potato au gratin tasted like it was watered down cheese and cold potatoes. Lobster soup was also cold and tasteless. Server did his job. I was stunned to be presented a bill with gratuity included for a party of two. That is outrageous. I guess the house has to do that to ensure servers get any tip at all; not because the service is bad, but because the food is really really bad.

Room layout was odd. Plenty of square footage, but nothing in the room. Bed on one side, about 10 steps to other side of room to the desk area with nothing in the middle of the room. No couch or anything like in the pictures. Desk chair and room chair were faux leather and were peeling. Overall, room was dated with an attempt to update: shower handle was loose and gaps in caulk, tile work was dated, etc. Basically putting lipstick on a pig. Lobby was very nice but it didn't translate to the room. Staff was OK, nothing special or overly welcoming. Valet parking was easy--good dropoff/pickup area right in front of hotel and valets were quick to greet you. Best part was location, close to RH Square. Wouldn't stay here again. Underwhelming.

Nice stay downtown

The hotel front desk and garage staff were friendly and efficient. They were knowlegeable and accommodating. The hotel room was clean. Eco and security measures were obvious. The view was poor, but the price was low. The location was close to pubs, restaurants, shopping, and some history. I would stay there again.

Outstanding Stay!

From the very moment we walked on property, our stay was perfect! Valet, Bellhop, Greeted by Stephen at the door to the front desk Staff, our bartender Kayla in one of the "onsite" restaurants (Spice Finch) was outstanding! Not to mention the endless cleaning crew always on the go! Had a 1-King room and must say, most comfortable mattress & linens we could have asked for. Just a wonderful experience.

There was ABSOLUTELY no staff available either on the phone or in person. There was no contact with front desk or housekeeping after trying to reach them most of the evening or the next day. After checkout (just left keys because there was only one staff member and a LONG line of people (same as night before) I had to call Marriott Bonvoy directly to ask about charges on my bill. No towels (face or hand towels) which is one of the reasons I called AND heater did not work. Unacceptable.

Not a 4 Star experience. The property is gorgeous, but we arrived at check in time (4 pm) and waited an hour to get to the receptionist, only to hear our room wasn’t ready. An hour later, I checked with the receptionist again, who was still helping people who were in line to check in, and we got keys to our room. The room was cleanly, but nothing seemed overly special. Also, no robes were in the room as indicated in the amenities. Definitely a 2 star experience for a lovely property. I will also say the staff were not rude but friendly and seemed to be in a bind.
