The Metcalfe is a pretty hotel, with clean room. The staff goes over and beyond to please you. Julian at front desk on Saturday was amazing. Same one of the restaurant's staff who accommodated us for breakfast on Sunday without reservation at almost full capacity. Extraordinary staff. Thank you, guys. We'll surely come back.

The staff at the desk is always so friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend and I have stayed at this hotel several times now and it is our go-to place in Ottawa. Ideally located, clean and affordable. I have nothing negative to say about the Metcalfe.

We were disappointed in the amenities. The game room was touted on the website and we even received an email before arrival about it. But when we arrived two of the three activities were unavailable (ping pong & mini golf.) The basketball hoop was available, but the net was in poor condition. These seem like pretty easy fixes, but if not fixed, best not to advertise them as unique amenities to your hotel.
