The size of the suites were perfect. The staff is helpful and attentive. Unfortunately the suites floors were very dirty, with hair found on kitchen counters and showers. Dresser drawers needed to be washed and sinks

The property in and of itself is good. Good location in walking distance to several key points, places, shopping and dining but there is a huge homeless population all around the area.

Good old reliable, but choose the room wisely

The Les Suites gives you the option of the renovated and non-renovated rooms. This time, I stayed in the non-renovated room and I wouldn't do it again. For the price difference, it's not worth it. While it's clean, it's shabby and the carpets probably have 30+ years of dust embedded in them. The only plus is that they appear to be on a lower floor and, ironically, there was less traffic noise than on a higher floor in the building. If you're sensitive to noise, ask them to place you on the courtyard side.

We had a wonderful stay here for our summer vacation. We had 4 adults and our 2 children with us. The hotel was in a great location to parliament and all the museums Ottawa has to offer. We felt safe walking around, and is in close proximity to byward market for dining options. It was however very loud, our room faced the main street and even the middle of the night sounds made it hard to sleep. We did walk everywhere, if we had to drive it would have been much more difficult to navigate traffic and find parking. The hotel itself was very clean (we were in one of the modern updated rooms) the kitchen came in handy as we were able to eat breakfast and lunch in our room. We also liked that you had to scan your room key to get into the building and get on the elevator, it made us feel much safer and secure. The pool area was nice, but lacked chairs , so when it was busy we had to stand or sit on the window ledge. The towels were almost always empty there as well, and most days we had to call for them to bring more. We would definitely stay here again if we were coming to Ottawa!

Review of Les Suites Hotel (Stay: August 31–September 1) This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we opened the door, we were shocked at how dirty the room was. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned in ages—it gave an immediate impression of neglect and poor housekeeping. Honestly, if we had any other choice that night, we would have walked right back out. Things only got worse from there. The air conditioning didn’t work at all, and the room became unbearably hot. We tried to open the window for some relief, but the air outside was heavily polluted, making it impossible to breathe comfortably. It felt like there was no escape—either suffer in the heat or deal with the terrible air quality. For a hotel in such a central location, the lack of cleanliness, basic maintenance, and comfort was completely unacceptable. We expected at the very least a clean, properly functioning room, and instead, we got the opposite. We will never stay at this hotel again and strongly recommend others to look elsewhere. There are plenty of options in Ottawa—don’t waste your money or comfort here.

Staff seems nice and helpful. Elevator is a big issue, it was easier to walk to the floor to access parking than waiting for the elevator, especially check out time. Parking space is limited and very tight.
