At first the hotel was amazing with lots to offer… then my wife was almost electrocuted by melted wiring on the hairdryer (causing sparks), our toilet banged against the wall after every flush, the room walls are paper thin despite advertising “soundproof”; I was unable to sleep until our neighbour came off his phone. The dinner in the jazz lounge was superb until my wife received her chocolate mousse, the chestnut cremeux was entirely off and sour. I do not recommend. My wife was also charged more than what she expected at the spa as the staff had offered her a facial during her her eyebrow tint and it was not clear that there would be added charges for what she was given. This was our anniversary getaway and we were not pleased.

We had the absolute best stay. From the moment we arrived , until the moment we left, every detail was thought of. Shawnee went out of her way to welcome my daughters and share in the birthday excitement. She even went as far as to send a birthday gift box with some treats and a birthday card in it for the girls. They were so thrilled! At breakfast the next morning, we had the most wonderful server who went above and beyond the entire meal. He was kind, friendly and thought of ways to make kids and parents feel welcome. He brought the girls cake pops at the end of the meal, wished our girl a happy birthday and made coffees to go for us parents (just because). We could not be more impressed and I won’t be surprised if we and up back here to celebrate here next year too!

Check-in was a nightmare. Was a gift for my wife who waited 30+ minutes at checkin to be told her room was not ready (roughly an hour after check in time) and almost making her late for her spa appt. She was excited to check-in, settle in , and then go, but instead it was super hectic! was a poor start to a gift.
