We didn’t have any breakfast here so I can’t speak to that however we stayed here as it was near the start/finish line of the Army Run and boy were we ever happy we did! It was nice not to have to travel anywhere but up an elevator to get back to our room!! Room was well kept and clean, we had a “lovely” view of a dumpster lol but that’s what I get for getting the cheaper room over paying for a view. Only thing that I could “complain” about was the hot tub wasn’t particularly hot and they were doing construction at the front entrance but besides that it was a good stay and I would stay again but maybe pay extra for a better view.

I recently stayed at the Lord Elgin Hotel in Ottawa and overall had a very good experience. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest advantages—right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance to Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and plenty of restaurants and shops. It made getting around the city very convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite being in a busy area. The bathroom was modern and stocked with the essentials. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping everything tidy during my stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with directions or recommendations. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick.

It was my first time staying at Lord Elgin, and I will definitely consider it again. The staff was friendly, the room was clean with a nice updated bathroom, I had a view of the park, great location for walking around downtown and to the university, the pool and exercise areas were clean and the welcome note & chocolate to welcome you to the room was a simple but nice touch. If you don't want to use the valet, you do have to park at neighbouring public facilities (city hall), but it is just a couple of minutes away.
