The lord Elgin was very well kept, the staff were friendly and greeted us promptly. I have to say the valet staff were exceptional. Location is very close to a lot of amenities and venues.

Great area, walkable to the ByWard market, Parliament Hill, and the Rideau Canal for skating. Friendly staff, and the room was nice and clean. A couple areas in the hotel could use a refresh, but it has it's charm nonetheless. There's only valet parking offered, but there is an underground lot across the street. Would also prefer if the room had a safe.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location. We came here to celebrate my birthday and skate on the Rideau canal. The canal is only a 2 minute walk. Great restaurants nearby. We had a great stay.

The room was basic but nice with a king bed. Great location. I found a few things disappointing: No fan in the washroom. The remote was on the floor under the bed between the nightstand (we had to look for it). There was some garbage in the nightstand. Also, with booking through Expedia, parking was an additional cost. That was unexpected.
