Victorian Room, 4 nights. The room was spacious with king bed, reading chairs, the ante-room. The bed was firm but comfortable. The bathroom is small - no room for dancing. The large jetted double soaker tub is in the bedroom. The breakfast was excellent with several options available each morning. The location is great with walking distance to Byward Market and many local attractions. Nit-picks: When booking the website name the room "McGee" while the confirmation called it Victorian. Had trouble operating the TV with the remote; staff turned the TV on while we were out one day and we later figured out that the TV had to be turned on with the buttons on the right side. Making up of the room and emptying the garbage is only done if you request it.

Nice little inn with parking available. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Room is comfortable. Coffee/tea station available for guests. Loved that the bed had a blanket and quits --- instead of the ubiquitous too-hot duvet! Would like a squishier pillow though, but that's a personal preference.

Excellent location, lovely building and fun decor, kind staff, excellent breakfast, comfy bed, excellent bathroom. Some quite serious issues with my room's AC. I reccommend the hotel provide fans and space heaters in the future, if the AC/Heating system is unable to function independenly in clients' rooms.

The breakfasts were very good. However, our room was in the annex, and it felt like a renovated dungeon. It was very small, and some of the walls were painted rock foundation. The entrance was off of the back driveway, right up the block from a methadone clinic and “safe space”. Not so much.

The property, rooms, staff, and breakfast are all excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Victorian decor. All-in-all, a great stay. Rideau St, two blocks down, is a bit on the grimy side though. That said, would 100% book again.
