"Centrally located, spacious rooms"
This was my first stay at Hampton on Hilton and I was very impressed. Admittedly, the drab exterior of the hotel seemed a bit off-putting (sort of a hostel style exterior if you know what I mean), it's such a contrast to everything inside and more. Hooray! This is one of the few hotels that has a plug point by the bed!! I wish more hotels would do the same instead of having to unplug the lamp or bedside radio to recharge my phone. Thank you Hampton! Also I'm pleased Hampton has thick walls so it meant I didn't hear with clear clarity the conversations of guests in adjoining rooms. You'd be surprised how many hotels have thin walls. Anyway, it meant I could have a good night's sleep at Hampton. The desk size was adequate, especially I was travelling on business and could lay out my tablet and papers, etc. The bed was large and comfortable, thank you. So were the pillows. The 12pm checkout is to be applauded and I wish more hotels did the same. Thank you for free wi-fi!!!! It makes a huge difference. Breakfast was yummy. For those staying for the first time, reception is on floor 2. There's no parking out directly out front, just in case someone needs to pick you up or drop you off. But they can drop you off across the road. One area of improvement is the hotel should get CNN. That would be good as I like CNN. Another area of improvement, well okay this sounds cheap, but it would be good if the hotel pen was a retractable pen instead of one with a cap.
