I cannot begin to accurately describe how disappointing this property was. Mechanical issue apparently caused the hotel to lose hot water for 3 of our 4 day stay. When we inquired about the status of the hot water situation, the front desk manager Julius was dismissive and not helpful in any way. When asked how he would handle the situation as a guest, he refused to answer and hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager, he said he was one and hung up on me again. I called back a third time and asked for an escalation number and was told IHG.com and was hung up on.
Guests were continuously being checked in. We quietly warned them that we haven’t had hot water for days. The newly arriving guests said they were told it was fixed. It was not. Others guests that weren’t as quiet about the situation were threatened to be removed for trespassing and thrown in jail.
All the guests we spoke to were lied to about compensation for the lack of hot water. I was also lied to regarding comping valet parking. Was told by one person it would be comped and then at check out, was told “We can’t do that.”
Upon check out, guests were still being threatened with being removed from property when their concerns were not being addressed or even considered.
Top to bottom, every employee was rude, dismissive and not helpful in any way.
In my 30 years of extensive travel, I have NEVER had a worse stay. IHG should consider closing this property, repair it, and restaff it appropriately
