Staff were pleasant, especially the doormen out front. I would not say the hotel is overly nice. It could be great again, but it looks like routine maintenance is being skipped everywhere you look. Just for instance, the bathroom in our room had a vent that was visibly full of dust, like it had not been cleaned in perhaps 15 years. Just one of many noticeable things, when they are charging top dollar. Also, the train going by in the middle of the night every night screaming for 10 minutes at a time is very jarring, and we could hear it clearly from the 26th floor. The location is decent, the views are pleasant, the lobby is pretty. Overall though, I would choose a different hotel for our next New Orleans visit.

The room was nice. The location was good. Unfortunately, the room was propped open when we arrived and then someone from staff let themselves in without knocking. The room service menu was not what it showed online. The shampoo ran out but even after requesting more, no one refilled it. The mirror was broken. Asked for replacement and no one did anything. Just not up to the standard expected for this type of hotel and cost.

Hotel was gorgeous! Very conveniently located to the tourist attractions. Staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. Courteous from doormen to wait staff. The cocktail lobby was on the cooler side but, it was extremely cold that day. Room was so comfortable, very clean and neat.
