I'm from out of town and was attending a function at The Gintrap in Ahuriri (highly recommend!) and wanted accommodation in easy walking distance. This was a 5 minute walk away, which was perfect. It's also incredibly close to the many cafes, antique and boutique shops in Ahuriri Village. But best of all is the stunning ocean view from the room! Watching the sunrise was amazing - especially with the company of a very cute, friendly and chatty black cat who wandered up to me and into my room. :) The bathroom is perhaps a little dated but very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfy (really appreciated having an electric blanket) and the room was reasonably spacious for a studio. Finally, and perhaps most important, was the warm welcome and friendly service from the lady at reception when I arrived (much appreciated after a 4 hour drive). I would stay here again.

The tv audio was terrible, had to have the volume up high, lucky we were next to reception, but saying that, we didn't book to watch t.v. Spacious, clean room, enjoyed our overnight stay.

The Harbour View is lovely motel. The room was spacious, with everything that was needed. (A swimming pool would have been nice.) The view over the lawn to the harbour could not be beat. I hope I will stay at this motel again next time I come to Napier !
