While staying at The Nautilus Napier, our car was broken into in their carpark, which understandably caused significant stress. Unfortunately, we asked to leave early to address the situation and ensure our belongings were safe. We explained the circumstances to the hotel staff and requested a refund for the remaining night, but they were unable to accommodate our request due to their no-refund policy.
While I understand policies are in place for a reason, I had hoped the hotel might have made an exception given the exceptional circumstances. The property itself was clean, but this experience left us feeling disappointed at a time when some understanding would have made a big difference.
