This property had a very friendly and responsive staff. We arrived later and we got one of the last rooms left for the night, which was very nice and accommodating for the price we paid, but there was one minor issue, the flush valve on the toilet wasn’t working. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they quickly came to our room to see if there was an easy fix. After a few minutes of attempting to repair it, they decided to move us to another available room. The second room didn’t seem quite as updated as the first, but was still comfortable. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the toilet worked in this room. Toilet and shower/tub fixtures had much more wear and tear, but everything worked, so it was good enough for our one night stay. Monterey itself didn’t have many dining and entertainment options available for late arrivals, but that’s no fault of the motel. Overall, I would stay here again and I really appreciated the staff acting so quickly to address the issue with our first room!

GREAT place to stay. Secure, clean, inexpensive, convenient. Rooms are nice and large with comfy King beds & pillows & linens, nice showers, black-out drapes, large TV with tons of Direct TV channels, fridge, microwave, in-wall heat & AC unit, and a very good Vietnamese restaurant next door, Plenty of free parking right in front of rooms. Very close to all there is to do in Monterey, literally a 5 minute drive to Fisherman’s Wharf and Cannery Row. EXTREMELY affordable rates that are significantly lower than other Monterey hotels. Best of all is the SOLID Management by Tej and Mike: they were always professional and accomodating, approved my reservation change (I asked to postpone it 1 week due to serious rain storm) without penalty and even allowed me to change rooms with no hassle. I’ve stayed here before with same great results and will stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
