Everything about this hotel was great the staff, air conditioning, heating, good bed and tv, a fully functional bathroom. All the pictures online looked good and in real life it was. I also think it was exceptional to see that they had solar renewable energy. I highly recommend this place.

Monterey is expensive - you can spend well over $1000 per night - if all you want is to enjoy the sights , food , activities of Monterey then spend the lonely on that instead of a fancy over priced room - this place has everything you need - a comfortable bed with very clean linens and pillows - a clean bathroom with a clean shower tub and recently updated - a nice fkarscreen tv - a mini fridge and micro ( no coffee maker- Starbucks up The street ) heating and air conditioning - privacy black out curtains - ice bucket and ice - rooms have hardwood floors - clean ! We paid $189 a night with taxes and travel insurance $213 - we will stay again

We only got this room for the night and it was fine for the price but it definitely was a bit dirty and worn down on the inside. Bed was comfortable and clean only thing was the bedding was a bit worn. Shower and toilet looked worn and a bit dirty. The light switches and base boards had a bit of dirt/scuffs on them. The room had a microwave and which was nice because we had some leftovers and bought a 6 pack of sodas. It was nice that they had outdoor areas to sit but the main area was closed for reconstruction. Staff was super nice and they provided free coffee and tea in the office area from 7am-10pm. There was also an ice maker and vending machine outside of the office. Parking was a bit tricky in the corner room because of the shape of the parking lot but manageable. It felt like a safe place to stay for the night and didn’t seem sketchy. A bit far from the main areas to do things so you have to drive but I knew that when booking.
