A long, hot summer at the East

Actually, the most disappointing stay I’ve had at the East- and I LOVE this hotel. I always choose it when I’m in Miami. Except for the bellman, the staff was inattentive, unresponsive and indifferent. I had packages delivered to the hotel. I asked for help four times- and provided tracking information. Got the brush off. Finally, the bellman saw me wandering around and asked if he could help. Finally, he found the packages.

Stunning Stay, But Skip the On-Site Dining This hotel is exactly as pictured, stunning rooms, a serene ambiance, and perfectly located in a beautiful neighborhood. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for comfort, style, and a relaxing environment. However, the on-site dining was disappointing. The food lacked flavor, creativity, and diversity, especially for vegans and those with dietary preferences. Despite the upscale pricing, the meals were bland and uninspired, which felt out of sync with the quality of the hotel itself. I would absolutely recommend staying here, but I suggest exploring nearby restaurants for your meals. With so many great spots in the neighborhood, you’ll have a much more satisfying culinary experience off property.

Stayed at EAST Miami with my partner and we really loved it. Our room on the 33rd floor had gorgeous views, everything was super clean and fresh, and the bed was so comfortable. The shower was modern and felt like a little spa moment. We also really enjoyed the pools and spa pools, both relaxing and beautiful. One of the best parts is how close it is to everything, especially with direct access to the Brickell City Centre. The restaurants are definitely on the pricier side, but overall, the experience was totally worth it. Would love to stay again.

Unfortunately, this hotel falls far short of 5-star standards. The overall appearance is dated and dingy, and the in-room amenities are very basic—lacking even the usual sanitary items you’d expect from a hotel of this rating. The pillows were flat, the bed uncomfortable, and upon arrival, there was no assistance with our luggage. The valet staff didn’t even acknowledge us. Our room had multiple issues: the toilet wasn’t securely fixed to the floor, the shower leaked into the toilet area, and the bath produced brown water. The electric blind in the bathroom was torn, adding to the sense of neglect. There are ongoing construction works right next door, starting at 8 a.m. daily and continuing throughout the day. These works are directly adjacent to the hotel pool, making it effectively unusable due to the constant noise. In the evenings, the lobby becomes crowded with questionable individuals and intoxicated guests heading to the rooftop bar, which itself was underwhelming. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and when they did attend the room, they removed items like soap and coffee without replenishing them. Overall, this hotel does not deliver on the luxury or service one would expect from a 5-star establishment.
