Staff was rude and ignored us and our requests. One restaurant open. Bartender was horrible, said ice machine was broken. It wasn't as he was making drinks. Our first night: Bathroom, sliding shower door was missing one of the doors. Water was too hot as we found out there was no cold water. They said they were doing Maintenance. Second night, when we arrived from our excursions we preceded to take showers and again no cold water. We notified them they said they had maintenance working on it. Third night they said the manage was not in and they would send a maintenance worker to check. He arrived and then verified that we had no cold water. Manager showed up 30 min. after and moved us to a different room. We were there from Friday till Monday and only enjoyed one night of a nice shower. 5star hotel I think NOT!

Everything was super smooth. Check-in (free upgrade), bell staff (Juan was great!), rooms were living and bedroom with 2 bathrooms. We had 3 balconies and the views were amazing! The food doesn’t have options but it’s really good food. We stayed at other resorts before and it was trash. Def worth the upgrade! Will def stay here again in couple months when I return 🔥

Food was great! Everyone was very kind and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious and they gave me an upgrade at check in. The hotel is tucked away and quiet which is nice and the center is only a 5 min uber awah

Had read reviews about the property being a little aged, which was true. But I wasn't bothered by it and felt it added to the charm. The room was clean, nothing was broken and very spacious. Other than a few grouchy waiters at the restaurant, everyone was courteous and professional. **Be aware, if you want to take an Uber or have food delivered, security will not let them past the security gate, so you will need to walk a couple hundred yards down the road to meet them. On a sidenote.......ocean was intense. It is the pacific side and VERY rough, but they have plenty of signs to remind you to stay out of the water. But it was incredible watching the ocean water hitting the rocks and the beach was clean and well manicured.

As a 30+ year Cabo visitor I am happy to have discovered Solmar. Older place, but great views and pool. Also have enjoyed the activity directors on our last 2 stays. Luis was great last time, and Leilani this time! Can't beat the price! was great

I really love the ambiance has a very Mexican look. Everyone was super nice very close to the clubs and restaurants. I walked about 18 min back to hotel at night and felt safe. The only thing I would take away is that I would have liked to listen to more Latin music in this resort, I didn’t like that they had a live band playing only Yt American music . They should embrace the culture I came here to enjoy Latin America not North America (pop) I understand that the majority but hey they here to enjoy Mexico

I loved the customer service and attention from the employees at the front desk. Also, the employees that were at the entrance greeting and helping with luggage were amazing. Carlos the manager was very nice and helpful with the issue I had with the room A/C. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the ladies working at the restaurant. They had an attitude and no smiles whatsoever. There was one lady in particular that always had a mad face. I would say she was the manager because she was not wearing a uniform like the ladies serving.

Well, the hotel is smaller than what they showed in the photos, but they are very comfortable. The studios had a KS bedroom with bathroom and another with dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Complete, two balconies. Highly recommended, the attention in the restaurant very good attention, the breakfast included, it was complete, fruit, coffee or orange juice, and the menu of 5 or 6 options, the service in excellent cleaning, clean and guarded facilities.
