Mixed bag at the apartment
The apartment was spacious, comfortable & clean and great for local amenities and our charity sale in Brick lane. However, there is clearly a problem with the drains/plumbing within bathrooms as, apart from a foul drain type smell, water gushed out of the external pipe when showering down the all and there was gurgling sounds from drains when using basin. Despite asking politely a number of times on our return back each evening, the downstairs neighbours did not remove their bulky items (boxes, shelving etc.) from communal stair case outside their door leading up to our apartment. This is a fire risk and blatantly ignoring fire exit sign & concerns. It's a busy road outside and I was glad I used ear plugs but appreciate this is London and that's what you have to accept. For a 4 star apartment there could have been a more generous stock of toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets (we ended up washing up so we could use the single one for our leaving day & had to buy some toilet rolls too. Kitchen sink plug needs replacing as it doesn't hold the water. All in all, though, we were relieved to get back after long days at our event and it accommodated the team/volunteers well.
