We absolutely loved this hotel. Checked in online and got our room much earlier than expected. Staff are friendly and our room was amazing. Comfy beds and pillows. Very quiet and very clean and tidy. Definitely will be coming back here agaim. Highly recommended!

Already occupied!

We arrived early and dropped our luggage which was all fine. Upon our return at around 3pm we checked in by a rather unfriendly man. Off we go to our room to find that we have a key to a room somebody is already occupying - not fun for either party walking into someone’s hotel room. Back to reception to resolve the issue where we given a poor excuse of there are two people with the same first name and that’s why they gave us the wrong room key! Best hope you don’t have a popular first name incase this happens to you! Very little in the way of an apology or any desire to make things right! A shame really as the hotel was quite nice but have been totally put off this hotel now due to this experience

Nice and quiet, but overpriced and some rude staff

Nice quiet hotel in a convenient Shoreditch location. One member of the check in team was very polite and helpful, but the person on reception when we checked out was just plain rude. She could barely muster a word and acted like your presence was an inconvenience. Literally didn’t say anything when she retrieved our bags despite us being impeccably polite. Nowhere near the standard required for a hotel that was overpriced at the rate we paid. It’s a shame because the member of staff that checked us in was very good.

The room was very spacious and clean. The neighborhood was picturesque and quiet at night despite Shoreditch being a “party area”. Lots of good restaurants around as well.

Comfortable Beds / 3 Star Hotel

Pros: Top 3 comfortable beds and bedding. Pillows were firm and quality. Staff was friendly but not necessarily welcoming. Rooms clean and new. It's in a youthful, urban, energetic area with a lot of restaurants and bars. Cons: No counter space to speak of. In the two rooms we stayed in, the single shelf was 3 inches deep. Bedside "tables" were no more than 8x8 inches wide. In the king room there is less than 2.5 feet of passable space between the foot of the bed and the wall in you don't count the 3 inch deep "shelf" that gets in your way. Only room for one person to pass at a time. Rooms are terrible for those with mobility issues. Hotel is almost ½ mile from closet metro - Old Street. Despite the staff being somewhat friendly, there's no personal service. A solid 3 star hotel at best. Gym is tiny. Room for one person at a time.
