Disappointing

Booked one night for our anniversary. Booked nice premium double room. Took the offer of an upgrade online, but ended up given a twin room!? They said they’d switch the bed, but just put a sheet over the two twin mattresses! Also the hum of the fridge makes sleep pretty difficult (you can pause it for a while but can’t access the Mains switch to turn it off)

We had a marvelous stay at Riverbank. Everyone from the doormen to the concierge to check in staff to housekeepers were fantastic. The room was outstanding with spectacular Views. Location was magnificent especially the views of Big Ben, British Parliament, the Thames River, the London Eye and the Westminster Bridge. The underground was close by at Vauxhall Station with all the sites just a few stops away. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It is a full service hotel with a large lobby and many places to sit outside of your room, a nice pool, a great restaurant and epic buffet breakfast, where reservations are made and you are assured a seat. There is a great view of the Thames, is close to Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, the Tate Britain and Tate Modern museums, among other important cultural landmarks. It is elegant but still down to earth. The only thing I would improve is the room lighting which was too dim once daylight set.

Wonderful stay

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Location was great- it was about a 15 minute walk from the train station and a 25 minute leisurely walk down the Thames to Westminster. I'd highly suggest the hop on hop off tours. They all pick up in that area. When leaving the hotel we were always greeted by friendly helpful staff. Taxis were there waiting, but word of advice- they are very expensive. Fare was 26💷 to go about 1 mile. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, but they are not budget friendly. I suggest traveling out of the area for food. The room was immaculate. Wonderful bathroom- rain shower/ handheld sprayer option. Water pressure and temperature was great. My only complaint is the lighting stays pretty dim. Speaking the lighting, the room has a cool feature with all the controls on one pad. Automatic opening/ closing the blinds, different lighting features (the "mood" feature was a cool twist). On the downside, the pull out couch was not comfortable at all. Mattress was super thin and every time someone moved it made loud noises. There was a hairdryer and iron/ironing board which was nice. The room service food was also pretty good and a good option if you don't feel like leaving. I would definitely stay there again!
