Excellent location but could be improved.

Excellent location for visiting Buckingham Palace and Changing of the Guard ceremony. Carpet didn’t look like it was clean after requesting room cleaning each day. Room service was slow and staff forgot orders by telephone. The desk and chair were uncomfortable because the desk was high and the chair was low. Probably suitable for someone of at least 6 foot tall. I’m 5ft 6 so too short. Definitely would recommend to friends for location but not service.

The location is wonderful, an attractive property minutes walk from Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and the Thames. My only complaint was going to our room A-2, there were first 12 stairs into the lobby from the street and unfortunately, another 15 or so to our lower-level room, which was extraordinarily difficult for us in being in our mid-seventies traveling with 2 grandkids with luggage and no elevator or bell man for assistance. One clerk offered help with our big bag. I wish we'd been warned of our room's terrible location, but we were on our way down with our bags and faced 3 sets of stairs and it was too late to request another room without having to move the luggage again ourselves.

To start and for the first couple of days, the air conditioning wasn’t working. I specifically went to this hotel because it offered consistent air conditioning and I was disappointed when that failed. The hotel moved me to another room and that made all the difference. I must pose the question as to why they made me suffer thru 2 days (of often dead warm air) until midnight at the end of the second day of my stay. And I was reprimanded and told I couldn’t eat or drink any outside food in their garden area and that “guests must consume outside items in their rooms.” What? I consider the air conditioning hold out and the “eat in your room” comment to approach the level of hospitality I might receive at a 1-Star or 2-Star hotel… not a 4-Star Blue Orchid. I will admit that the second half of my 8 days/nights at Wellington Blue Orchid were much nicer than the first half… and I’ll also say that the front desk personnel and other staff I encountered were very professional … except of course for the manager that sent that messenger to say I’m not welcome in their garden… that was simply rude!

Expedia offered in their site a queen bed with sofa bed and the rooms were so small that they could no scommidate any bed and staff no helpful. The service of Expedia is not very good at all they have failed twice in my bookings

Chosen because it was one of the few that offered 2 separate beds in one room. Also because of the price per night. Located at 10min walk from Palace and Westminster. Place is extremely charming and impeccably clean. It was the best value for London. We loved it and would recommend it at any time!

Central location. Charming building. Rooms are small, but that's par for the course for the price in Central Londo. However the 3 stars is because the elevator was broken. It was broken for the duration of my stay (1 day.) To have a broken elevator at a hotel is inexcusable, imo. They should have had technicians working on it. I saw none during my stay. I dont think I can recommend this hotel due to the broken elevator.
