In almost every respect, Simon's was an excellent property. It was clean and well-equipped, comfortable, more roomy than we had anticipated, and in a quiet and safe location. We spent six nights there and there was plenty of room for the two of us. Its location is superb for visiting local sights (10 minutes' walk to Marble Hill House, and just two to Turner's House), with others such as Kew Gardens just a bus or car-ride away. Restaurants and pubs in Richmond were just a 10 minute walk away too. There are several bus routes within easy walking distance, several connecting with the Tube or overground rail. The apartment itself would merit a five-star score, but for two factors:i) if you have a car, then max street parking is for just four hours per day, inconvenient if you have a full day planned away from the area eg in central London, but only an issue if you have arrived by car as we had (a friend of Simon's helped us out);ii) both kitchen and lounge, especially the latter, really do need window-blinds to protect against heat. We were there during one of the August 2026 heat-waves when the local temperature reached 38C! My wife inspirationally barricaded the lounge windows with cushions each morning and this did provide some protection, but something more permanent is needed as we were on the top floor where heat rises and where the sun lasts longer.Otherwise, I would highly recommend both Simon and this apartment.
