Room very good value but staff on entry were extremely rude well one chap in particular. Refused my stay unless I had photo ID. I had paid and had booking confirmation and reference numbers. Also the card I paid for the booking with on me too. After a 6 hour journey he didn’t help whatsoever in sorting out the issue but other people were getting checked in wi to out photo ID next to me. I had to get somebody to send me a picture of my passport photo graph to check in which was obviously extremely difficult as I was 300 miles from home. I have stayed in 100’s of hotels and never once have been asked for photo ID. He then sat down and continued to play on his phone.

Poor customer service.

Bath had hair in the tub. Rubbish under bed. Stayed for 3 nights i requested extra pilows as never received them even after going to reception twice. Never anyone serving at the bar. You always need to seek them out to purchase drink. Breakfast is rather expensive considering the lack of choice. Yet again no one is waitng there to seat you or take payments. The food quality is very poor. And the juice tasted watered down.

Arrived to find out rooms had been given to other guests, the staff weren’t very communicative we had to ask what the problem was. There was no apology but they did waiver the parking fee which was appreciated. Unfortunately my daughter’s room was on a completely different floor. Beds were really high and the mattress dipped in the middle, parking was a challenge but we managed to get the last space. Good location and value for money but not the best experience or quality amenities. You get what you pay for!

A bizarre experience for a 4* hotel

A clean hotel room but there were several unusual features. Firstly, the media ports USB point etc above the dressing table did not work; staff said, "yes these no longer work in the rooms, just use the 3 point plug under the desk". The pillows were like sleeping on a bag of rocks, shower facility had shampoo but not conditioner and the fridge did not work. When I queried this with hotel staff, I was simply told that they "no longer provided refrigerators" and that it was 'just for show'. Breakfast was sufficient and there was a nice variety of food but the scrambled eggs were cold and inedible. All in all an OK stay, but there is no way I would call this a 4* hotel, scratch the surface and it was really below par.
