Very good location of this hotel to the Dotonbori area and shopping strip directly behind the hotel. Not the best one we have stayed in while in Japan with the bathroom setup using a pull down blind instead of a door and not much bench space for the bathroom but was clean. If you want amenities for the bathroom you need to go to floor 4 where the reception is to collect them. Fridge was switched off and I had to find the on switch to cool it down. Toilet was interesting/good as it greeted you when opening the door, but light is on a sensor and went off too quickly. The sofa lounge was used as the 3rd bed which had the linen hidden underneath which was not obvious. Unfortunately during our stay they were redoing the pavement at the front and most of this occurred close to midnight with jackhammers. This will possibly be done quick enough so don’t let that stop you staying here if you like the location as it was comfortable enough. I liked the location but I would explore other options next time as this hotel was on the more expensive end and I am undecided if it was worth the it as the hotel I stayed in Kyoto was better and better value than this one.
