Nikko - accommodation in Osaka

Great location, short walk to Dotonbori and access to several subway lines (nearest is JR Namba station). There is also Nipponbashi and Shinsekai slightly further away. The hotel has a 7-11, a public bath and numerous washing machines on the 4th floor (the wash+dry ones are in the public bath area) washing machine status are trackable using the in room TV. The staff are really helpful and are able to communicate in english. There is also a separate luggage hold and transfer service on the 2nd floor. Do take note that check in might take a while due to the volume of people staying at the hotel, if you arrive early, you can drop off you luggage and come back later, avoid 3-5pm as there will be a crowd checking in too. If you intend to explore the inner parts of Osaka city, this is a great place to consider.

The hotel is located very close to Osaka station, when you know, how to find it. It is above a massive shopping center with a check-in reception located on the 9th floor. The hotel is very modern, uses lots of modern technology (self-check in and self check-out kiosks, QR code for stored suitcases, a robot zooming around the restaurant collecting plates, etc.). There is a massive food court on the 8th floor, just below the hotel, which is very handy after long days of walking around. The hotel has a self-service laundry facilitied, which is very popular with tourists. The room was exactly as on the photos. The beds were very comfortable. Sadly no wardrobe to hang clothes and not much space for the suitcades. The breakfast was amazing. Large selection of freshly cooked food. Lots of frest vegetables and fruit. Good quality cooked japanese and western dishes. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel.
