The room smelled mildewy. It was not well taken care of. The bathroom walls were dirty. The toilet bowl had brown stains inside it. When we were greeted upon arrival, not a smile, nor asked if needed help with anything. On the first night, we asked for additional hand towels, we were given bath towels and the housekeeper kept on saying ‘no’ to us. The day housekeeper on our floor was great! She was friendly and willing to help. I know I did not pay for a four/five star hotel but the service simply was not there. There was also the elevator dynamic. Having to switch elevators from the suite on the fifth floor. Why not have a dedicated elevator bank from lobby to ground and then separate elevator banks for the suites. I stayed at the one of the Ibis in London, UK and these two experiences were worlds apart.
