This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. My only concern was that one of the electronic window opening/light settings in my room did not work and although I reported it the day I checked in, it still had not been repaired when I left. Also the lamb for dinner at Peppina (the main dining room restaurant) was so rare it was closer to raw – I had asked for medium

This ambience of The Tasman is a contemporary mixture of Art Deco elegance and Southern Tasmanian earthiness. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and the valet service for our car was efficient and unpretentious. The technology for use of the lights and window furnishings was excellent and our room was comfortable and very very nice. No complaints.

While parking is listed as available, it is an additional cost of $45 per night as a valet service. Street parking is difficult and not well signed. We had noisy neighbours but the hotel was good about that issue. The room was impeccable, from the toiletries to refreshments. It was clean and well presented.

Wonderful in every way.
What a fabulous hotel, from pulling up out the front and valet immediately meeting us to a quick and easy check-in. Upon opening the doors to our room the blinds open up to a beautiful view over the dock, highly recommend getting a view room. Breakfast is wonderful inside a stunning old room and buffet style with eggs cooked to order. The location is bang on point and we just can't fault anything about this hotel.
