The property was beautiful especially the lobby and the restaurants. The check in desk was a bit hard to find. Entrance for hotel guests was hidden behind what looked like a linen closet.

This property is a lot of fun. It is stylishly decor has a lot of personality. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in the Georgian mini suite, and it was exceptional. The only slight drawback is that I could hear slight thumping coming from the club two stories below.

This hotel is very eclectic. Very cool decor and super friendly staff. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Beautiful large restaurant and bar area that was very busy but no noise that bothered us in our room. Room was spacious. Would be happy to stay there again if we get back to Edinburgh.

We came in late at night and the desk clerk who also seemed to be the waiter, bartender and bellman helped us to our room . His gracious attitude made us feel welcome. After traveling hard on a 5 day equestrian tour- the room was big, inviting and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Close to castle

Clean hotel very close to the castle. Perfect spot to see Edinburgh! Had trouble with a room, but the manager took very good care of us.

Overall good with a few things to improve on.

This was a generally good experience, but there were some things to improve on. The welcome at Reception could have been better. We also asked for a call when the room was ready (as we arrived early), but we received no call. The room was overall good and clean, but the pillows were very lumpy, which in addition to being uncomfortable, does not make you feel good about sleeping on them as it implies they are too worn. I consider regular pillow maintenance as a basic for any good hotel. The floors also creaked very loudly any time you moved around. That said, the restaurant is excellent. The staff and food were so good. I would say to definitely go to the restaurant, but I would probably not stay in the hotel if I had other good options available nearby.
