Staff were great. Hotel is old and a bit run down. Paint is in terrible condition and the carpet was loose and very worn out, especially in the hallways. Bus stops are right outside the front entrance and there is parking as well. The building was clean, but the iron in the room was very very dirty. Thankfully I brought an ironing cloth otherwise I would have ruined a new blazer. I was not able to use the steam feature because the steam came out orange. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious. The lobby, restaurant and bar have been renovated and looks great. I’m hoping they are planning to renovate the rest of the building.

From the outside it could do with a clean and looks like an old office block. However looks can be deceiving well set out inside and thankfully not too hot which i find most hotels to be so Nice and quiet for a full hotel would go back for sure

5 star! ⭐️

My room was very neat tidy clean and comfortable. It was very relaxing room and hotel with inclusions I.e swimming pool, sauna and bar with restaurant . The food was excellent and delivered to my table hot and well presented and without a long wait. The hotel is in a really good location with bus stops right at the entrance of hotel and just opposite which gives great access to Edinburgh city and airport in just 15 minutes with airport buses every 15 minutes from 04.00 to 00.35 daily. Would highly recommend this hotel. The zoo is also beside the hotel which can also be an added bonus. St John’s road full of shops and amenities 5 minute walk. 👍😊

Liked it so much we chose to stay day before we left Scotland. Location was great and room was comfortable and staff all exceptional.
