Thredbo is a year-round delight for outdoor lovers. Its slopes call out to skiers and snowboarders during the winter months (with snowfall usually lasting from June to October), and it’s a natural wonderland during the warmer months, where you can discover the sights by mountain biking, golfing, swimming, playing tennis and trying out the metal bobsled run for the steel-hearted among you. The village sits at the base of Mount Kosciusko near the southeast tip of New South Wales, about 500 kilometres from Sydney. With over 50 ski runs and that big list of summer activities, there really isn’t a better excuse to book one of our Thredbo hotels than simply to enjoy the great outdoors.
There are also numerous choices close to Thredbo Village that allow you to rent a chalet or cabin to accommodate a family or group. Try Three Bears 2 or Three Bears 3, which have multiple bedrooms, kitchens, and living rooms with fireplaces. If you’ve come to ski, the Powder 2 chalet has ski-in/ski-out access and a deck spa/hot tub.
Stillwell Hotel is located in Kosciuszko National Park and close to Mount Kosciuszko Summit walk. Staying in the park means access to spectacular hiking, biking, and fishing. Breakfast is cooked-to-order in the morning, and the place even has its own piano bar.
Hotels in Thredbo start at AU$148 per night. Prices and availability subject to change. Additional terms may apply.
