The room was clean and loved the little duck left out for us. Breakfast had a really good choice of foods, and the service was good. All staff were friendly. The location was perfect, right at the bottom of Victoria Street, which is rumoured to be the street which inspired Diagonally in Harry Potter.

The hotel is excellent in a good location. However, you could not control your room temperature. One of our rooms was far too hot. Complained to reception who did not fix the problem, so another very hot night .. I think there is a general problem with heat control In rooms , would not return to this hotel

We had a staff member knock on our door as we were draining the water out the bath, they let us know the room below had water leaking from the ceiling so we put the plug back in. They accused us of flooding the bathroom floor, but this was quickly forgotten when they could see the floor wasn’t wet. We didn’t empty the bath that evening and expected it to have been sorted the following day as it was quite late, however the room was cleaned but the bath left half full of water. We didn’t hear anything else for the rest of the stay. We luckily had a separate shower so could use that. We liked the location of the hotel and the staff on reception were friendly. It’s very noisy in the hotel room, you can hear everything going on around you, I don’t think there is any soundproofing.

I had a nice room and the staff was excellent. They were able to help with any question I had and were more than pleasant. It was easy to walk around from the hotel’s location. I enjoyed the large selection at breakfast. I would stay at this hotel again.
