Expensive Meh

The hotel is definitely over priced for what it is. Our hotel room was soooo hot it was impossible to get comfortable even after management brought in 4 fans. Other patrons were complaining about the heat to eachother in the lobby as well. The continental breakfast was not free and was nearly $18 a plate. I couldnt even finish my food because some of it was cold or too salty. I hate bashing them like this but I felt like I needed to post this review. Its advertised as a 4 star but it is a 2.5 at best. Won't be back.

Reception nit great no information on dining or breakfast times given, not 4 star standard, i work in a 4 star hotel so know the protocal,

The property was good. It was probably my bad that I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C and happened to be a hot day in Dublin. Other than that, the staff was good. I notice that the check-in process was a bit slow compared to other hotels like this one.

An absolutely fantastic property, relatively close to DUB airport, plenty of dining options within walking distance, and several Irish pubs also close by. All this for a very good price here in greater Dublin. I’ll definitely stay again while catching an early morning flight!

We were really impressed with the Dublin Skylon Hotel. We booked a twin room for two nights at such a reasonable price. A top class room, two very comfortable beds, lovely soft pillows, AC, Kettle, well stocked tea & Coffee, great shower, overall 10/10 for the room. A safe is provided as part of the room price. As well as the front car park, there is a good size underground car park which is not mentioned in the first instance. The car park does cost per night but it is secure particularly at night and is gated. 10/10 for the car park. The Hotel itself is located about 3Kms outside the City Centre but is direct by very frequent and cheap buses. We didn't use the bar or restaurant so no comment to make. Brilliant Hotel, would highly recommend.

They were fixing a broken door and renovating things on our floor which made if very awkward and unsafe to walk to the lift/elevator. I feel like they should have shut down the floor or something to fix the issue, not make guests walk through men at work with their tools and supplies out.

Was a nice place but a little outdated. Seems like most hotels in Ireland have old carpet which should be updated. I woke up to the sound of drilling outside my room at 8 am but other than that, it was a regular hotel.

Room was spacious, clean, and had all the necessities. You may need to request washcloths and vanity kit at the front desk as rooms don't come standard with them. Buffet is decent at 18 euros per person. A bus is conveniently located outside the hotel, and taxi to the liberties is about a 15/20 minute taxi ride to the liberties. The hotel will book the taxis outbound for you, and Freenow app can get you back. Restaurant stops serving at 9:30 p.m.

Comfortable modern hotel close to Airport

Relatively new and nicely maintained hotel quite close to Dublin Airport. The room was comfortable with modern conveniences. Good value for money. We parked our rental car overnight in their relatively small parking area, which can fill up quickly is our understanding

Easy parking, clean fresh hotel with tasty food and comfortable surroundings. Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms were prepared to a high standard. Noisy snoring neighbour meant not such a restful sleep but put aircon on which helped drown out the noise.

This was a nice stay - clean, comfortable, and a really good breakfast. The gentleman who was managing the restaurant at night was very welcoming and helpful, too! This hotel sits right on the edge of a residential area, but shares a couple of blocks with nice restaurants and bars. It was the perfect place to get some sleep after flying in and being awake in Dublin for many, many hours.
